AMMAN – HE Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital
(TAG.GD), received an official delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of
Education and Higher Education at TAG.GD headquarters, headed by Dr. Hassan Abu
Thaher, assistant deputy Minister of Education for planning and development.
The visit came in the framework of enhancing mutual cooperation in the fields
of digital transformation, education development and digital capacity building
in line with the requirements of the knowledge-based economy and global digital
transformation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored
areas of collaboration in developing the digital infrastructure of the
Palestinian education sector. This included learning management systems, e-educational
content and digital testing platforms, in addition to the integrated solutions
that TAG.GD offers in the smart education and institutional digital
transformation.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that investment in education and knowledge forms an
essential pillar in building sustainable economies, noting that digital
transformation in education has become a strategic necessity to ensure the
quality and continuity of education, and to strengthen its ability to keep pace
with rapid global changes.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that TAG.GD continues its commitment to utilizing its
technical and knowledge expertise in supporting Arab education institutions,
and to developing flexible and inclusive digital educational systems that
enable both students and teachers to master future skills and digital knowledge
tools.
For his part, Dr. Abu Thaher affirmed the importance of the visit in
strengthening prospects of cooperation with ‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global’, to benefit
from its advanced experience in technology and digital education, in support of
the Ministry’s efforts in advancing the Palestinian education sector and
improving its readiness in line with the requirements of sustainable digital
transformation.
He further pointed out that the Ministry is
in the course of preparing a comprehensive national strategy for digital
transformation in education to enhance quality of education, strengthen equity
in access to educational services, develop digital educational infrastructure,
as well as empowering teachers and students with the required skills to
establish a flexible resilient system that offers high-quality educational
services in accordance with best practices.
Meanwhile, Mr. Moath Moreb, Education Officer for the Quality of Education
Project in Palestine implemented by the Belgian Agency for International
Cooperation, stated that the visit comes as part of the efforts of the
Ministry, in cooperation with the Agency, to enhance the capacities of the
central team that is responsible for building and monitoring the Ministry’s
strategic digital transformation plan. This is to be implemented through the
exchange of expertise between educational institutions and strategic partners
in this field, in order to draw a roadmap for a clear and well-defined digital
transformation strategy.
The visit included presentations of various
specialized TAG.GD’s solutions in e-learning, digital infrastructure, cloud
computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, in addition to a briefing on
its regional and international initiatives in the development of digital
education.
The delegation was also introduced to the TAG-TAB Book, one of the innovative
solutions developed by TAG.GD to support digital education and provide an
integrated educational platform that combines a smart device and e-educational
content. This offers an interactive learning experience that minimizes
dependence on traditional methods and enhances the efficiency of the
educational process.
At the end of
the visit, both sides affirmed the importance of continued coordination and
cooperation, and to explore opportunities to implement high quality projects
and initiatives that support digital transformation in the Palestinian
education sector that enhance innovation and the sustainability of the
educational process.
