Program Description
Certificate in Economics
The Certificate in Economics is designed to provide a credential in economics for non-economics majors [e.g., International Business and Economics majors and Finance (Economics Concentration) majors] who want an endorsement of their knowledge in economics. To obtain a Certificate in Economics, students must complete 12 hours in economics as outlined below:
Required Courses:
- ECON 201 Principles of Economics: Micro
- ECON 202 Principles of Economics: Macro
Plus any two of the following classes:
- ECON 302 Intermediate Macroeconomic Analysis
- ECON 640 Money, Banking, and the Macroeconomy
- ECON 651 Managerial Economics
- Either ECON 644 International Economics or FIN 645 International Finance.
( No grade lower than a "C" is acceptable for the classes taken in this certificate program)
